建彦木工 | 森と木と人の間で | 栃木県足利市 創業明治25年

栃木の健やかな森で育まれたヒノキ材から、長年培われてきた建彦木工の技術と洗練されたデザインによって美しい佇まいの家具「BRACE」が誕生いたしました。

シンプルで直線的な構造に、斜めのブレースが視覚にも印象を与え、その使い心地は、使う側の想像力を掻き立てます。
天板のトレーは取り外すことができ、軽く、容易に持ち運びができます。
接合部は、スチールを使い、日本の建築技法である「仕口」をモチーフに組まれていることで細身ながら強度を保ちます。

建彦木工の拠点がある栃木県は、ヒノキの生育にとって積雪量が少なく、適度な気温と降雨量により育まれた豊な土壌があります。
そのため、栃木のヒノキは良質で目が細かく、強度があるといわれています。
"限りある資源を丁寧に使いたい"そんな建彦木工の思いから。BRACEは細い、短いなどの理由から規格外とされ、チップ材などへ使われる予定の材を使いました。

私達の使命は、森と使う人の間で木の命の橋渡しをしていくこと。そのためにも健やかな地球環境をつくることは大切です。
地域材を使い、梱包にフラットパック化を実現したことで、材料の調達から出荷までの輸送の際に使われるエネルギーを最小限にいたしました。

BRACEは半完成品で梱包されております。組み立て過程を楽しんでいただき、木の命を尊び、長く愛される家具となりますように。

High-quality cypress from Tochigi has been transformed into a beautiful-looking piece of furniture thanks to Tatehiko Woodworking's long-established techniques and sophisticated design.

The top tray can be removed, making it light and easy to carry.
The joints are made of steel and assembled in the motif of the Japanese architectural technique of "shiki-guchi", which maintains strength despite its slimness.

Tochigi Prefecture, where Tatehiko Woodworking is based, has low snowfall and rich soil nurtured by moderate temperatures and rainfall, which is ideal for growing cypress trees.
As a result, Tochigi cypress is said to be of good quality, fine-grained and strong.
Brace is made from timber that is considered out of standard because it is too thin or short, and is intended to be used as chip wood.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between the forest and the people who use it. For this reason, it is important to create a healthy global environment.
By using local timber and using flat-packs, we have minimised the energy used during transportation.
